Chili-Lime Marinade

This is my go-to marinade when I'm cooking up some meat for burritos, fajitas, any Mexican/southwest-style dish, really! This recipe makes enough for 5 to 6 lbs of meat. Be sure to allow at least 4 hours of marinating beef, chicken, or pork. I haven't used this for seafood yet, but if I did, I'd marinate it for less time -- the acid in the marinade will start to cook it!

Ingredients

1/2 cup grapeseed oil

1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 3 limes)

3 large cloves of garlic, minced

3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup chili powder

1 Tbsp ground cumin

1/2 to 1 tsp red pepper flakes

1 Tbsp agave nectar or honey

2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions

Combine everything in a blender and blend until smooth. Enough for 5-6 lbs of meat. Marinate at least 4 hours.
