Garlic Crostini

This is how I always start bruschetta. Crostini is also great served with dips, cheese platters, and as a side to saucy meals.

Ingredients

French Baguette, sliced diagonally 1/2” thick

Extra virgin olive oil

1 garlic clove, peeled

Kosher salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet in a single layer. Brush the tops of each slice with olive oil.

Toast the bread in the oven for 5-8 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it sit for 10 minutes to allow it to stiffen a bit.

Cut a thin sliver off one side of the garlic clove. Rub this flat exposed side onto each toasted bread slice. Sprinkle the crostini with a little salt and serve.
